Whats your winter ride

I don't understand why people buy a nice car or truck , then drive it during the winter. Over the last couple of weeks I have noticed mustangs and other Good rides out in several in inches of snow. If that's not enough the salt that is used to melt the snow eats metal and eats the wax protecting your paint. If you wash it off it's fine. The salt doesn't do any harm until the weather warms up or parking it in a heated garage. Even if you keep it washed. Any remaining salt will rust out from the bottom up. This mostly happens under the fender wells.
Which brings me back to. Why would you pay good money for a mustang of any grade then drive it in the snow. not to mention rear wheel drive doesn't go good in the snow.
What I do is buy an older cheap ride instead. I drive an 1994 ford ranger four wheel drive. It also has an grand pa running boards. There is one benefits. The cops don't look twice.
If you are planning on buying a new or used ford Mustang. Buy a clunker to drive during the winter months. You will glad you did .
